The AI Opportunity Audit

Get clear on what your customers will value most.

A four-week engagement that gives you clarity on where AI belongs in your product. We talk to your customers, weigh what we hear against the customer data you already have, and hand you a ranked roadmap of AI features worth building.

Who this is for

Teams with customers, but no confidence in their AI roadmap.

The audit is for teams with real customers and real revenue who feel some anxiety about their path to AI: what to build, in what order, and why. You leave with a prioritized, evidence-backed set of AI features and the confidence to pursue them.

The four phases

Week 1

Grounding

We start inside your business: we sit down with the founder or a product SME of your choice to find out how you make money, who your customers are and why they use your product, where the roadmap is headed, and what you've already tried. We ask to see customer data you already have and make a plan for the customer interviews.

Output: Grounding and orientation for the Offstage team to inform the customer interview plan.

Week 2

Customer discovery

We interview your customers about their real workflows, the pains they feel, and the workarounds they've built. We schedule and run every interview ourselves, then synthesize what we heard into pain points and themes. Then we weigh those themes against your existing customer data, so the findings are backed by multiple sources.

Output: A synthesis of pain points and themes, grounded in interviews and cross-checked against your existing customer data.

Week 3

Validation workshop

A 90-minute working session with your team. We bring what we learned from your customers, checked against your existing data, and together we pressure-test which themes resonate.

Output: A ranked set of themes that drive the feature exploration.

Week 4

Concepts + readout

We turn the ranked themes into concrete AI concepts, matching each one to the AI capabilities best suited to solve it. The strongest ideas become low-fidelity mock-ups inside your platform, so your team can see what they could look like. Then we bring it all to the readout: every recommendation, its evidence, and a now, next, later roadmap your team can act on.

Output: Prioritized AI concepts with rationale, the roadmap, and leave-behind materials.

What you get

Questions

What do you need from us during the four weeks?

Customer introductions, access to whatever customer data you already have, a few hours of founder or key product SME time, and one 90-minute workshop. We run everything else.

What if we don't have much customer data?

Then we work with what you've got. The interviews carry most of the weight. Whatever customer data you already have sharpens the picture from there.

How do you choose which customers to interview?

We'll rely on you to select a sample of 5-8 customers from your key persona(s): the customers whose needs and workflows best represent the people you're building for.

What happens after the readout?

You own the roadmap and the concepts. If you want continued guidance after that, ongoing advisory is available.

Does the audit include implementation?

No. The audit provides roadmap clarity that gives your product team the confidence it needs to begin pursuing the right AI features. If you need implementation support let's talk. Offstage has partnerships with talented technologists that can help.

Can this work if we've already tried AI features?

Yes. Flat or failed experiments are some of the best evidence we work with.

Talk it through.

We'll tell you honestly whether the audit fits your team.
